As a follow up to the joint discussion regarding signs, the City Administrator has requested
Councilors the EDA comment on their vision for signage in the 1 -94 /CSAH 2 area. Please note you
Steve Frank are not asked to comment on individual sign standards at this time.

Renee Symanietz Given what you individually and collectively as a group infer to be the character of St.
Dale Wick Joseph, you are asked to provide tangible input on the most advantageous balance
between (as it relates to 194 /CSAH 2 area):
EDA
Doug Danielson 1. Needs of businesses to identify themselves and attract customers;
Steve Frank
Gary Osberg 2. Needs of citizens to be able to locate a business and find a desired
Larry Hosch product/service;
Dale Wick
3. Needs of a community to create or preserve a visual environment that is in keeping
with the type of built environment desired by citizens and businesses.
For example:
• Does each need carry equal weight (i.e. 33 %)?
• Does one of the three needs outweigh another? If so what is the resulting
percentage?
