PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
The Council has previously approved a resolution authorizing a
County Project within the municipal limits.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The Stearns County Engineer has provided a second resolution
that must be approved for the CR 2 project which prohibits parking.

REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION:
Authorize the Mayor and Administrator to execution Resolution
2014-012, prohibiting parking on CR 2.
RESOLUTION 2014-012
Relating to Parking Restrictions on CSAH 2 (S.P. 073-602-045) from the CSAH 75 to the
north limits of St. Joseph:

WHEREAS, THIS RESOLUTION was passed this 20 day of March, 2014, by the City of St.
Joseph in Stearns County, Minnesota. The Municipal corporation shall hereinafter be called the
“City”, WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the “City” and Stearns County have planned the improvement of CSAH 2 from
CSAH 75 to the north city limits; and
WHEREAS, Stearns County will be expending Federal and State Aid funds on the improvements
of this street; and
WHEREAS, the proposed street width does not provide adequate width for parking on both sides
of the street within the city limits; and approval of the proposed construction as a Federal Aid and
State Aid Street project must therefore be conditioned upon certain parking restrictions.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED:
That the “City” shall ban the parking of motor vehicles on both sides of CSAH 2 between CSAH
75 and the north limits at all times.
