BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The police department has a list of administrative fines under Appendix A— Police Bail Schedule of Fees. The violations include illegal parking, unreasonable acceleration, public nuisance, underage drinking, etc. The administrative fines are for ordinance violations. Appendix A includes charges for past due parking violations. Staff recommends expanding the past due violations to all ordinance infractions. All non - collected fines over 51 days past due will be sent to the State's Revenue Recapture program to garnish from state payments due to the violator.
