Following are updates on Business Development Projects over the past month:
EDA
Doug Danielson • Met with Jon Petters to discuss Bayou Blues and Alley Flats concepts as presented at
Steve Frank the March EDA meeting.
Larry Bosch
Gary Osberg • Met with entrepreneurs working on a retail/wholesale specialty food production
Dale Wick business.
• Cold called the following franchise retailers/services: Perkins, Lowes, DO,Cracker
Barrel, Chilis,Jimmy Johns, Hardees,YUM brands, H&R Block,Aaron's, Midas, &Jiffy
Lube. Registered potential sites in St. Joseph with their real estate team where
possible.
• Contacted Office of Site Acquisition and Relocation(GSA,federal government)
regarding availability of former MCO building.
• Project 13-D(national retail)back in town to examine sites.
• Project 13-J closed on site.
• No movement on Gateway project by either GTI or Walz Properties(I-94/CSAH 2).
State(Boundary Adjustments)has acknowledged annexation of properties south of
CSAH 2/MN Street.
