HomeMy WebLinkAbout[11a] Scheduled Non owned Vehicles Council Agenda Item 11a MEETING DATE: May 1, 2014 AGENDA ITEM: Administrator Reports – Scheduled Non owned Vehicles SUBMITTED BY: Administration BOARD/COMMISSION/COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City was contacted by the LMCIT Insurance agent Peter Oman, about new coverage that is available to Cities. The coverage is for City Officials using their vehicle for City business, whereby the League Insurance would be primary coverage for liability. The insurance is $10 per person and must be by department. For example if the Council wanted coverage it would just list the Council and $ 50.00; Administration would be $ 40.00. These two groups would be the primary groups that would be covered. The City could cover all the Boards and Commissions if they so choose.
