AGENDA ITEM: Fire ChieYs Report
• Joe Bye,who is one of our latest members has completed all of his requirements. Brian
Theisen,who is the other member that was put on the department back in June of 2013 is
working on his CDL Lic.
• We where trying to send two officers, Dave Salzer and Ken Jacobson to Aniston AI to take the
FEMA IC class in March of 2014, but the timing did not work out and we are still thinking of
either maybe later this year or early next year. The Training is free through FEMA. Honer
and Taufen took this in 2013.
• Our ISO report has not yet come back but the Fire Chief is still looking at doing a water shuttle
drill sometime this spring/summer that may help lower our number.
• The Fire Department will be switching from FireHouse to Image Trend starting out in June of
2014 to file our reports to the State of Mn. This will be a cost saving of around $750.00 per
year.
• Our Surplus of Equipment(Air Packs with Tanks, Old 5" LDH, Positive Pressure Fan,
Generator, and an old CO Detector) has all been sold and picked up. We used the
"GovDeals.com"to sell this equipment.
