Dale Wick EDA goals for 2014 include market outreach. The EDA hasn't hosted an event since October of
EDA last year. A review of pertinent information regarding best practices and innovative ideas for
rural economic development outreach include:

Steve Frank • Secure a speaker who is an expert in website development and/or search engine
Larry Bosch optimization. Primary audience would be retailers and service providers, not as large a
Gary Osberg pool as other events.
Dale Wick
• Host breakfast event featuring an update from State Senator Michelle Fischbach or
State Representative Jeff Howe.
• Host event where keynote speaker addresses new state minimum wage requirements
or speakers to address strategies to implement new wage requirement(Speaker would
be assigned from the Department of Labor& Industry's Speakers Bureau).
• Reconvene round table discussion with local residential real estate agents. Goal is to
learn what motivated people to move to St. Joseph and what their interests are. The
information could be beneficial to retail/service establishments and give us a better
profile of who is coming into/leaving town.
