Bob Loso Following are updates on Business Development Projects over the past month:
Renee Symanietz
Dale Wick • The Game Day Athletics facility in the industrial park is for sale. Game Day merged with
EDA another entity and consolidated locations in the Twin Cities.
Doug Danielson
• The'Krupa Property adjacent to Minnesota Street West is back on the market.
Steve Frank
Larry Hosch • TIF Consultant Traci Ryan and I met with property owner on West Minnesota regarding
Gary Osberg future use of property.We have plans to meet again after conducting research.
Dale Wick
• A portion of the former Bestway Fabricating facility in the industrial park is now leased.
• Spent numerous hours on 'Bayou Blues and Alley Flats' project which was initially
presented to the EDA in March.A preliminary TIF application for the project is expected
for EDA review at the June 25th meeting.
• Internship opportunity posted by School of Public Affairs, SCSU, Internship Coordinator.
No interest as of yet.
• On Thursday, May 15, the City Council voted 4-1 to reject bids for a government center
construction project.
• Rezoning of the property south of County Road 2 which was annexed to the City will be
considered by the Planning Commission and City Council in June.
• Continue to follow up with two proprietary leads formulated earlier this year.
• Hotel market study nearly complete. Presentation of findings is scheduled for the June
25th EDA meeting.
