HomeMy WebLinkAbout[04e] Exempt Employee Compensation 4(e) Council Agenda Item MEETING DATE: August 7, 2014 AGENDA ITEM: Exempt Employee Compensation SUBMITTED BY: Administration BOARD/COMMISSION/COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The negotiating committee has been working on both union contracts and on July 23 settled the labor agreement for a two year term with AFSCME and have tentatively reached an agreement with LELS. The following is the wage/insurance benefits that have been agreed to (tentatively by LELS): General Wage Increase (2014) 2.50% Insurance – Employer Premium Contribution Family $ 977.57/month Single $ 300.29/month Insurance – Employer Deductible Contribution Family $ 3,000.00 Single $ 1,500.00 BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT: Total wage/benefit increase 2.9% ATTACHMENTS: REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION: Establish and implement the 2014 wage and benefit compensation for exempt as the same as that of the bargaining units.
