The August regular meeting of the EDA was held on the 27 at 5 p.m. Following are meeting

Steve Frank Print Marketing Materials.

The EDA is updating an outdated print marketing map that was produced several years ago. The
Dale Wick new marketing effort will result in creation of tear-off map pads that can be placed around town
at various businesses and used to direct consumers to points of interest. The EDA will be
reaching out to CSB regarding including a map on the flip side of the City map.
Alley/Parking North of Minnesota Street.
The EDA heard from Pat Benson, the Manager of Minnesota Street Market who expressed
significant concern regarding the condition of the east/west alley north of Minnesota Street
st
between College Avenue and 1 Ave NW. The availability of parking, directional signage, and
condition of parking areas were also of concern. Earlier in the year downtown property owner
Jeff Engholm echoed Benson’s concern regarding the condition of the alley as well and
suggested another property owner shared his concerns. The EDA is interested in participating in
an alley improvement project and/or parking lot project through proceeds from the “Let’s Go
Downtown” effort.
2015 Budget/CIP Requests
The EDA reaffirmed a hold-the-line budget request.
