Renee Symanietz Blues/Alley Flats project.
Dale Wick
The first application is for demolition of a dwelling at 24 College Avenue North.

Doug Danielson The second application is for demolition of a dwelling at 30 Ash Street East.
Steve Frank
Larry Bosch The dwellings are being demolished in conjunction with a redevelopment project which will result in a
Gary Osberg three story mixed commercial/multiple family residential unit and a four unit condominium.

Review of Application
The EDA's demolition gran program provides a matching reimbursement grant for actual demolition
costs, up to $2,500 per property address. "Demolition Costs" means the costs of demolition,
destruction, removal, and clearance of all structures and other improvements on the subject site,
including interior remedial activities, and proper disposal thereof. Eligible demolition costs up to the
matching amount are to be reimbursed following submission of invoices from a licensed contractor
and inspection by the Building Official for compliance with demolition permit standards.
Demolition grant priorities include projects that:
• Remove structures that threaten public safety
• Have been vacant for a time
• Have development potential
• Are close in proximity to existing sufficient public infrastructure
• Have identifiable potential commercial or institutional reuses
The requests appear to meet three of the five priority classifications. In addition, the requests appear
to meet the eligibility guidelines for the grant program in that:
• Demolition of existing principal structures is proposed
• The demolition will prepare the lots for a redevelopment project
• Work has not begun and will not begin until financing for the project is in place
• The property is an eligible site
