PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
The City Council established a housing incentive reducing the
WAC/SAC fee by $5,000 for new single family homes. The incentive was limited to the first 10 building
permits with an end user with a sunset date of November 1, 2014.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
As of this time the City has utilized three of the credits, with two
in Graceview Estates 4. The developer from Graceview Estates 4 has requested that the City continue the
incentive into 2015.
The funds that were designated were from a residual bond fund and if the extension is granted the
remaining balance could be set aside to carry into 2015.

$ 35,000

Subject: City Of St.Joseph Wac/Sac incentive
Hello Judy
I have several people who are interested in purchasing lots in the Graceview Estates Plat 4. They are however
hesitant because they may not be able to receive the Wac& Sac incentive that the city was offering. I believe it
would be beneficial for the city to renew the Wac & Sac incentive for new construction home owners in the city
of St. Joseph for another year.
Sincerely
Tyler Keller
