Recomendation of Officers
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The position of Fire Chief for a 2 year term is open this year with the
current chief, Jeff Taufen being the only application. We had five members apply for the 2 - 2 year and
1 1-year positions of Captain. They are David Salzer (current), Paul Phillipp (current), Dan Muyres
current), Shirlie Brill, and Keith Louwagie. The Fire Departments investigating committee met and
discussed and are making a recommendation to the Fire Board for Jeff Taufen as the Fire Chief for a 2
year term, David Salzer and Paul Phillipp for the 2 2-year Captains positions, and Dan Muyres for the 1
year Captain position.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT: No
ATTACHMENTS: No
REQUESTED ACTION: Have the Fire Board approve the recommendations of Officers made by the Fire
Departments Investigating committee.
