BACKGROUND INFORMATION: At our last Fire Board meeting in August, you were informed that we
were down 1 firefighter. Since than, we had one other member, Brent Johnson, step down for the
department due to the time commitment of the Fire Department and his job. This leaves us down two
members and I would like to open up the application process to try and fill these spots. Deadline for the
applications would be the end of January 2015, interviews, agility testing, background checks, and
physicals to follow with a tentative start date of the second Tuesday of July 2015.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT: Up to $5,000.00 per new member for classes and gear over a two year
window.
