AGENDA ITEM: Fire Chief’s Report
The two new members, Andrew Kreamer and Joe Orcutt started June 10th and are fitting in
well. They will both be starting their FF1 & FF2 class this fall. Brian Theisen who started in
June of 2013 still needs to get his Class B Lic w/tanker endorsement done to complete his
minimum requirements.
We were unable to receive the DNR grant this year. We were trying to fund some new wild
land fire equipment and pagers. The relief has purchased the new wild land equipment to
replace to old.
Unit # 4's will be going to Rosenbauer to get a new tank put in. (Their bid was 28,000 –
33,000 and Emergency Apparatus Maintenance was $50,000). I have been working with
Rosenbauer to unsure the correct tank is made to fit the truck and we are waiting for a lead
time on the tank. Once the tank is in, we will bring the truck down to Wyoming Mn for about
1-2 weeks for install. I have already notified our Mutual Aid departments about this and they
will be willing to help during the time when we do not have the tanker.
