HomeMy WebLinkAbout[02c] Exempt Employee Compensation Council Agenda Item 2c MEETING DATE: January 5, 2015 AGENDA ITEM: Requested Action: Exempt Employee Compensation: Establish the general wage increase and insurance benefits for exempt employees the same as established for LELS and AFSCME. SUBMITTED BY: Administration BOARD/COMMISSION/COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: The City Council negotiated two year labor agreements between LELS and AFSCME for the period 2014 – 2015. The terms of the agreements provide for a general wage increase of 2.75% and provides the following insurance contributions: Family Coverage: $ 997.12/mo premium contribution $ 2,000 HSA contribution Single Coverage: $ 306.90/mo premium contribution $ 1,000 HSA contribution BACKGROUND INFORMATION: BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT: The 2015 budget was prepared using the rates stated above. ATTACHMENTS: Request for Council Action REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION: Establish the general wage increase and insurance contributions at the same level as the LELS and AFSCME Labor contracts.
