Greater St.Cloud JobSpot-JobSpot was launched in May as an online resource for facilitating talent related connections within the Greater St.Cloud region.In five(5)short On months,more than 815 job seekers&250 employers have registered on the site with more the than 775 job openings are currently posted.www.GreaterStCloudJobSaot.com GREATER Sr CLOUD Regional Brand-following the completion of primary&secondary research,a new regional brand and logo design evolved,"On The Grow",and was publicly introduced at the Innovation Summit in September.2015 will be devoted to introducing and advancing the new regional brand across the region and amongst GSDC partners. Celebrations, Recognitions&Sponsorships: Triennium Celebration-260 people came together on May 1 st at the River's Edge Convention Center to celebrate GSDC's three(3)year anniversary.In addition to hearing highlights of progress made to-date&glimpses of what lies ahead,Pamela McNeill performed a few musical selections,including"St.Cloud is Soaring". Twin Cities Business magazine-The Greater St.Cloud region and GSDC were profiled in a 26 page special feature edition in the May 2014 edition reaching more than 30,000 subscribers and 90%of MN companies with 50+employees. Business In Focus-The Greater St.Cloud region and GSDC were profiled in a 12 page special feature edition in the December 2014 edition reaching more than 363,000 subscribers in North America and Canada. Central MN Growing-GSDC was profiled in September by limes Media as part of its Central MN Growing publication. Summertime Sampler-In collaboration with Rotary Club of St.Cloud,GSDC produced a limited edition CD featuring music from bands who performed at the 2014 Summertime By George!concert&festival series and to promote air service from St.Cloud to Chicago O'Hare. Quarterly Business Report-GSDC partners with and provides financial support for the survey and analysis completed quarterly by SCSU Department of Economics and published by the St.Cloud Times. Anderson Center Speakers Forum-GSDC participated as a sponsor in bringing 250-300 business owners,executives,& managers from the region together three times a year for networking,team building,and inspiration. SCSU Economic Winter institute-GSDC participated as a sponsor of the annual forum which gathers the best minds in the region and country to generate ideas that can foster growth and development in our region and beyond. Summits Hosted: Transportation Summit-co-sponsored with the St.Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce in January and attended by+100 in January 2014 offering highlights on the role transportation infrastructure investment plays in economic development. Wellness Summit-more than 100 people attended from 50 organizations attended the event held in February to highlight examples of best practice corporate wellness programs&introduce the potential for making an affordable wellbeing assessment tool available to a collective pool of employers in our region. Innovation Summit-this year's event was expanded to include an interactive exhibit coordinated by SCSU-ISELF&set a new record with approximately 240 attendees that gathered at the River's Edge Convention Center in late September. Air Service Summit-GSDC&the St.Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce jointly hosted more than 80 business and community leaders in late October to explore with MSP and Fargo airport executives the critical role the business community plays in sustaining and growing commercial air service. Talent Summit-more than 200 business leaders,higher education professionals&college students attended& connected at the November 71fi event hosted by GSDC in partnership with the St.Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Capital One and Clear Path. Business Development Assistance:Year to date reflects 96 business retention&expansion visits,led or assisted with the facilitation of 6 business expansions,43 business attraction proposal submissions,the retention or creation of+600 jobs in the region with 50 business expansion or attraction opportunities in the pipeline. Save the Dates Wellbeing Summit:February 26,2015,8 a.m.-noon,River's Edge Convention Center.This event is for all who are interested in learning more about and sharing information on workplace and employee wellbeing,employee engagement,and employee productivity measurement and improvement strategies.
