Hi Judy,
th
We have 2 meetings left and are on the schedule. We have a meeting on the 29 to discuss budget constraints and
begin to develop recommendations around identified needs. At the last taskforce meeting we will go through proposed
th
recommendations for the City Council. This last meeting is tentatively scheduled for February 10. I expect final
th
recommendations being submitted by February 20. Overall, the taskforce has done a good job openly talking about
concerns and interests regarding community and government center concepts. The taskforce really performed quite
well together and were well aligned in the “needs” or “risk” valuation process. The group has fully defined the areas of
“need”, and we will next have a budget discussion next to help us with “tradeoff” discussions that will support our
understanding about what is really important for facility plans. The group may find that some “needs” are unaffordable
th
in the near future, and we may look for innovative solutions on February 10. Understanding affordability will help us
further prioritize needs and potential solutions. Below is a summary of the “needs” identified in green.

I am still interested in having experts speak to facilities cost estimates and healthy city budgeting. Do we have any
th
recommendations for expert speakers for January 29? I had suggested in an email to the Mayor that he, or yourself,
could take that role?
