Donations
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: We tried, but were unsuccessful, to get a grant from the DNR last year
to purchase 5 new back pack pump cans that we use at brush / grass fires. The St Joseph Jaycees gave
us $500.00 and our Relief Association paid the balance to get these.
The St. Joseph Jaycees also donated 1 of the Rescue Saws at a cost of $825.98
The department also wants to Chevron the remaining vehicles we have. (Chevron is the Red/Yellow
reflective stripes on the rear of the trucks to help protect us). The Relief Association has agreed to pay
this cost on having them done at $1,000.00

REQUESTED ACTION: Fire Board approve the Donations of the 5 Back Pack pump cans, one new Rescue
Saw, and the Chevron for the trucks from the St. Joseph Jaycees and the St. Joseph Relief Association.
