AGENDA ITEM: Fire Chief’s Report
The two new members, Andrew Kreamer and Joe Orcutt started June 10th and have both
taken and passed their FF1, FF2, and Hazmat classes, which allows them to now enter a
burning structure. They we be starting their First Responder class soon. Joe has also taken
and passed his Class B Lic. W/Tanker endorsement. Andrew is working on completing this.
Brian Theisen who started in June of 2013 still needs to get his Class B Lic w/tanker
endorsement done to complete his minimum requirements.
We were finely able to decide on a Fire glove and have ordered them. The Fire Board
approved this at our May meeting in 2014. The Relief Association is also paying for half of the
cost of these.
Unit # 4 is back and in service after it went down to Rosenbauer in Wyoming Mn to get a new
tank put in back in December. We have had it out on the road a few times and are not having
any leaky water issues like we were having with it. The Fire Board approved the work with a
$28,000 - $33,000 price. The total cost came in at $31,749.00
