5” LDH Hose
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 5” LDH Hose is what each of our pumpers have on them that we can
hook up to fire hydrants to supply us water for a fire. Over the last year, we have lost 3 lengths on our
Ladder # 2 due to the hose getting holes in them. These hose’s were new with the truck in 2001 and
have an estimated life of 10 years. Right now we only have 3 – 100’ lengths left on our Ladder truck
which may limit us on getting close enough to the structure.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT: $605.88 per 100’ section - $1,817.64
ATTACHMENTS: Yes
REQUESTED ACTION: Get the Fire Board's approval to purchase 3 – 100’ lengths of 5”LDH Hose.
