HomeMy WebLinkAbout[08] Public Hearing - Sal's Outdoor Event 8 Council Agenda Item MEETING DATE: May 18, 2015 AGENDA ITEM: Public Hearing, Outdoor Event, Sal’s SUBMITTED BY: Administration/Police BOARD/COMMISSION/COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Sal’s Bar has applied for an outdoor event on June 27, 2015 from 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM. The Ordinance requires a public hearing for music events that extend beyond 9:30 PM and allows the music to go until midnight. Sal’s is only request to go to 10:30. The application has been reviewed by the Police Chief with the following recommendations: double fencing covering the parking area; hiring of 2 full time officers, alley to be barricaded; music will bend by 10 PM and the grounds to be cleaned no later than 8:00 AM June 28. BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT: Sal’s Bar is responsible for the wages of the officers ATTACHMENTS: Request for Council Action Hearing Notice Application REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION: Authorize the Mayor and Administrator to execute the Outdoor Permit with the conditions identified by the Police Chief for an event to be held on June 27. The purpose of the hearing is to consider the issuance of an outdoor special event. The event is to occur as follows: Saturday, June 27, 2015—Sal's Bar and Grill Mayor Rick Schultz All persons wishing to be heard will be heard and oral testimony will be limited to five minutes.
