CONTRACT Proposal

The following are Union issues for the upcoming contract year(s). During the course of
negotiations the Union reserves the right to alter, change or modify its demands.
1. ARTICLE 9 - HOLIDAYS
9.1 Delete the words "12:00 Noon" after Christmas Eve
9.2 Delete the word "regular" in the fIrst line.
2. ARTICLE 10 - VACATIONS
10.1 Vacation hours will be credited each pay period. Full time
Employees shall earn vacation benefits as follows:
Years of Service Annual Accrual Rate
1 year 40 hours
2 - 4 years 80 hours
. 5-9 years 120 hours
10-14 years 160 hours
15 years 168 hours
16 years 176 hours
17 years 184 hours
18 years 192 hours
19 years 200 hours
20 years 208 hours
21 years 216 hours
22 years 224 hours
23 years 232 hours
24 years 240 hours
25 years 250 hours
3. ARTICLE 11 - SICK LEAVE
Change .11.1 Sick Leave to read: Sick Leave with pay shall be earned by
each full time employee on the basis often (10) hours for each month of
servIce.
Change 11.2 to read: Sick Leave may be accumulated up to a maximum of
seven hundred and twenty (720) hours. When an officer has reached the
maximum accumulation of sick days, they will be paid for ten (10) hours
each month that sick leave is earned but not used.

Add the following to 11.3: When an employee separates employment, in
good standing, with over 10 years of service they will receive 75% of the
accumulated balance paid out in cash or 100% of the accumulated balance
if the balance is rolled into an IRS approved medical spending account as
established by the Employer.
4. ARTICLE 15 - WAGES
15.1 and Schedule "A: - General wage increase of 4% for 2004
General wage increase of 4% for 2005
15.2 Differential pay. The rate shall be as follows:
2004 - $.050 per hour
2005 - $.055 per hour
New section 15.3 FTO pay: Officers shall receive one hour of comp time
for each shift they function as a Field
Training Officer.
5. ARTICLE 16 - LONGEVITY
Change 16.1 to: All officers with 5 years of service shall receive a .
longevity payment of $20.00 per full year of service.
6. ARTICLE 17 - UNIFORMS
Uniform allowance 17.2: 2004 - $550.00
2005 - $560.00
7. ARTICLE 24 - DURATION:
January I, 2004 through December 31, 2005
