A suggestion was made to have the City Maintenance department water the seedlings and mow the grass between the VHO rows of seedlings in Morningside park. . A metropolitan sidewalk plan will be prepared for the next Council meeting. *' Councilor Rieke reported on a meeting with Bob Krebsbach regarding the Krebsbach property on Minnesota st East as a possible site for a new Fire Hall. * Personnel Committee discussed employee training and will prepare a policy for adoption at the next Council meeting. * Councilor Hazen discussed the Fire Board meeting. *' Council approval to repair the backdrop in Memorial Baseball Park. *' A City sign will be constructed to include: Wastewater Treatment I City Maintenance J Boy Scout Troop 84 I Shannon's Upholstery. Council asked for clarification on the purchase of gauges. *' Preliminary Plat for Northland III, IV, and V were presented by Terry Schmid for approval. Council approved with several stipulations to be considered by the City Engineer. *' There will be a retreat with the City Council, Township Board and area business owners on the SJU campus on 6-21-'34. This retreat is to discuss industrial and business development in St. Joseph. * Council requests the owners of the Linnemann Inn to re-submit a parking plan to the Planning Commission and Council for approval. * Lighting of the new water tower will begin shortly. . Dick 41- Discussed plan and priorities for compliance with the ADA act. Also outlined plans for sod restoration in the City. Brad 41- Requested that the Maintenance Department be responsible for unlocking the restrooms at the park shelters. Park Rules: Irma Lanier said she turned them in to the City Clerk and will print and laminate the!Il to be posted in the parks. New Business: Rich Schultz had Dennis Katzner come out to give ideas regarding what could ~e done Li Morningside Park. A suggestion was made to make a playground area 200 x 200 for pla~Ting baseball but membe~s thought that could be smaller. The entry way to the park has a lot of erosion and needs to be repaired. It was suggested to black top the entry way. It was also suggested that the City Maintenance water the trees and mow around this area. A recommendation was made to mow the path between the seedlings by Richard Schultz and seconded by Marge Lesnick. Hòrse Shoe pits in Centennial Park: A recommendation was made to improve the existL~g pits and add 2 more. Next meeting will be Stine 27 in the Lion's Park Shelter at 6:30 pm.
