Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Planning Commission
for the City of st. Joseph met in special session on Monday,
October 23, 1995 at 10:00 a.m. in the st. Joseph City Hall.
Members Present: Chair Klein. Commissioners s. Kathleen
Kalinowski, Marge Lesnick, Dan Nierengarten, Linda Sniezek.
Secretary Judy Weyrens.
Others Present: Ken Jacobson.
CMS Building Expansion: Ken Jacobson, CMS Body Shop, appeared
before the Council requesting authorization to make application for
a building permit. Jacobson stated that he would like to expand
the work space in his business and ad an addition of 2240 square
feet. Commissioners clarified that since his property abuts a
residential area, the rear yard setback must be 50 feet. Also,
based on the square feet of the proposed construction, eight (8)
additional parking stalls must be provided. After reviewing the
site plan, and discussing the setback requirements, Lesnick made a
motion authorizing CMS Body Shop to make application for a building
permit with the following conditions:
l. The 50 foot rear yard setback must be met.
2. Eight (8) additional parking stalls must be designated and
marked.
The motion was seconded by Sniezek.
Ayes: Klein, Kalinowski, Sniezek, Lesnick, Nierengarten.
Nayes: None. Motion carried 5:0:0
