VILLAGE of s'r. JOSEPH PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
The following commission members were present: }VII' s . Robert Kelly
( ChI' . ) . Mr. Claude Menzhuber. flIr. Rudy Gapko, Mr. Al Maleska,
Mr. Ollie Lesl'Ück Mr. Ben Kremer and Roman Reber (council rep.)
.!VIrs. Kelly s te t ed that the Planning Commission WaS without a
permanent secretary and that one should be elected. Mr. Lesnick
nominated Nr. Maleska and Mr. Gapko nominated Mr. Kremer. After
recei ving the votes from the members filr. Reber reported Mr. Kremer
one vote and Mr. I\1aleska four votes. fiIr . Maleska accepted.
f1rs. Kelly also asked that a Vice Chr. be elected. Nr . Men<;>huber
was nominated by Mr. Lesnick and was elected by an unanimous Voice
vote. Mr. Menzhuber accepted.
Mr. Maleska reported that none of the former members had any
orinance books.
IvIr . & i'Irs. Del Horsch were present and stated tha tf they would
like to have thereJ.2 beer license retbrned' to his Bait Shop.
He was informed that because his Bait Shop was located in a
Residential Area he would need. a variance and that a public hearing
would first have to be held. The request for a hearing wes denied
TtJhen a vote TtlaS taken with Maleska, Lesnick and Kremer voteing no,
and Gapko and Menzhuber yes.
Mr. Lawrence Fischer was present to explain his intentions of
movjng a trailer house on one of his lots near the feed mill. No
action was taken, as the C01Ílll1ission did not have a copy of the
trailer house ordinance and it was not clear what status a trailer
house had in an industrial area, and if a trailer house with a
b¡:;¡,sement could be legally called a peTmanent house.
Mr. reber had a. copy of the letter that is being sent', by the
V~llage Attorney, to the property owners east and south of the
village, explaining that an informat'ional me-eting will be held
on May 22, 1969 for the Durpose of finding out if ther~ is sufficient
interest' among property owners to circulate a Petition for Annexation.
Attending the meeting will be the Village Engineer and the Village
Attorney to answer questions.

complaint from a resident,
concerning the undesirable condition of a business in a residential
area. After a short discuSBibn Mr. Gapko motioned that the Villag;e
Cguricil designate-a time for a general clean-up of said areas,
commercial and resdential, by newspaper notice, also instructin~
the r-esident!s that the Public Nuisance Ordinance will be enforcèd.
It'was moved and seconded that the meetin~ adjourn.
