VILLAGE OF ST. JOSEPH, PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
The following commission members were present: Mr s . Robert Kelly
( chr . ) Mr. Ollie Lesnick, Mr. Ben Kremer, Mr. Al JVIaleslm (sec.) and
Mr. Richard Schroeder (council rep.
Minutes from the meetipg of Jarl. 5 were read, and accepted as read.
Letters from John Knapp feciBved for filing, concering the Subdivision
Ordinance.
Mr. Schroeder reported as to the terms of the commission members with
the terms of Claude r<lemzhuber and Ollie Lesnick expiring in Jan. of
1970, Mrs. Robert Kelly', and Rudy Gapko in Jan. 1971 and Ben Kremer and
Al Maleska in Jan. 1972. Because of his poor attendance record a
repacement is being sought for Mr Menzhuber, The election of new
officers will be held at the next regular meeting.
Mr. Lesnick stðted that Mrs. Leona Reis had asked him about the
possibilty of placing a trailer house or a modular type house on a
66' x 200' lot, o't\med by Mr. Jack Birk, in an residental area. Because
the lot 1s in a residental area the trailer would not be conside0ed, and
Mr. Lesnick stated that he would find out what other Municipalities
in the area are doing as to zoning regulations concerning the modular
type houseing.
Mrs. Kelly stated that the Village Council has decided, because of our
small tax base, that the Village of St. Joseph would not continue, as a
member, with the ~etropolitan Area Sewage Study Committee. Federal funds
are now being sought, and much of the area around st. Joseph will still
be included. ,
Copies are being made of Ordinance No. 50 as to the duties of the
Planning Commission. They are to be distributed to the Commission
members.
