( chr . ) The following commission members were present~ f>1r s . Robert Kelly Mr. Ollie Lesnick, Mr. B-en Kremer, Mr. Don Post, r1r. Al Maleska (sec. i) and Mr. Homan Reber (colLYlcil rep.) A discussion concer1ng the proposed new 1dater Filtration Plant. About 35 residents of the Village were present at the June 22 Hearing. Mr. Reber stated that the amount of money to be borrowed was still not known, as the Council did not know the number of property owners who would pay the assement at once. II1r s . Kelly circulated among the commission members a copy Exective Order No. 60, dividing the State into 11 areas, for purpose of Regional Planning and Develoment. Mr. Lesn;ck reported on the modular housing, he said that Waite Park was giving the same status to a modular house as a on the site built houseo Mrs. Kelly reported on her vist to a local distributer, Ul''3 +; had two types for sale, one having the appearnace and material of 8.('011 thesi te built house, and the other having the appearance and material of two trailer houses side by side. Mrs. Kelly stated that. a company from the eastern part of the U.S., had I requested information as to the labor force in the St. Joseph area, because of a possiable location of a plant. It. was suggested that the N. S. P. survey taken some years ago (1962), and the new census could be combined for a present figure. Mr. Reber suggested thet a good project for the Planning Commission would be the planning and develoment of a park for the Village, with the area south of hiway 52 at the Mill Creek House, that is now owned by ST. Bents as a possiable location. Some question that remain unanswered, will the property be available and its cost, will Federal funds be available and what present of the total cost will they cover. Election of New Officers, Mrs. Kelly for chr., nominated by Mr. Lesnick, elected by voice vote. Mr. Kremer for vice chr., nominated by Mr. Lesnick, elected by voice vote. ~1r .
