MONDAY, AUGUST 2, 1971
VILLAGE OF ST. JOSEPH, PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
The following commission members were present: Mrs. Margaret Kelly, (Chr.),
Ben Kremer, AI Maleska, Rudy Gapko, John Redmond, Ollie Lesnick (Sec.)
Minutes of the last meeting were approved as read.
Mr. Eller, Attorney for W.F. Honer presented preliminary plans for Honers Addition
consisting of 13.82 acres.
Rudy Gapko was concerned about the lots not having 7500 square feet and the variance
problems they would create in the future.
Also playground area, size of homes, and buying land from Saint Benedict's for
necessary roads was discussed.
A motion was made by John Redmond, and carried that preliminary plans be approved
with the following:
1. To adopt county plan of assessing development 5% of cost for park or play-
grou nds . Sec. 4 Sub. Zo-21 Stearns County Planning Ordi nance.
2. Make very effort to obtai n I and for roads from St. Benedi ct1s or redesi gn
plan for necessary road.
3. AI I lots to be 7500 square foot a rea .
4. Check lot 14 block two for required 7500 squart foot area.
5. Have typical lot layout consisting of size of house, driveway, and garage,
drawn to $'cale on a 60 foot lot.
Motion made by Ollie Lesnick to adjourn and seconded.
