Joseph Planning Commission Was held at the Village Hall on Mondy, November 5, 1973, at 7:35 P.M. with Be~nard Kremers, Chairman, presid- ing. Kelly Gun c ilman Roman Reber Minutes of the meetings of February 5, March 5, APsil 2, May7, May 17, July 9 and October I were approved as read. The ~ecretay not ed content 8 of the follovling letter s: 1. A letter dated 10;3-73 from the ~hairman to the ~ecretary asking her to send a copy of the resolution adopted regarding the Hollow Park Addition to the Village Clerk before October 11, 1973, together with a report on attendance at meetings by the Plenning Co~nissioners for the months of July, August and ;september 1975. 2. A letter dated october 4, 1973 from the ;secretary to the Village Clerk con- taining the information requested, as explained above, plus attendance for October 1973. I 3. A letter from the ~ecretary to th.e Mayor, at the request of Mr. Reber, thru the Chairman, explaining the think~ng back of the planning Commission's recommen- dation that a variance be given Willard Gohman for the êrection of an apart- ment building on the old CresJüery site. The ~1airman passed around information regarding a Seminar on Financing 00~nunity Development to be held in Rochester, Hinnesata ,November 19 and 2oth~ in Hibbing,Hin nesota, November 29 and 30tl1/and in Marshall, i'1innecota, December 4 and 5, 1973,tui- tion $ 40.00. Members were ill'ged to attend if possible. Mr. Gapko moved that copies of the Planning Corillllission 's minutes be sent to the Villa ge Clerk . ~econded and carried. 'rlleG4a:i·rman asked the ;$'ecretary to fill out a form regarding new and expanded indust- ry in the Vi~lsge since January 1, 19 73) and return it to the Iviinneso ta Department of Economic ~evelopment, with the information that there Was no new industry in the Village since that date. Mr. Reber passed arov~d a copy of the ~. Joseph Township ~oning ordinance and agreed to ask the Council to propure a copy for the Planning Commission. Following discussion regarding the hazardou~ crossing at College Avenue and U.$. 52 the Becretary read a letter from E.W. II 71 November 5, 1973 Minute s Uontinued It was agreed that further steps be taken to try to improve the situation by 15 getting a stop and go signal placed at the intersection,and or a posted 35mile an hour speed limit on the highway, within the Village.1 The ~ecretary was instructed to contact RaymondLappagaard, High\\fay Commissioner, regarding the matter.
