The regular meeting of the St. Jeseph,Minnesota Planning Commission was held at the
Citý Hall on Monday, May 6, 1974, at 8:00P.M.,with Bernard Kremer, Chairman, presid-
ing.

Minutes of the March 4, the March 14 and the Ap1"il 1, 1974 meetings we1"e approTed
as presented exce) that the following phrase was to be added to the minutes
of theMarch 14,-1974 meetingat the end of the parag1"aph regarding the secretary
for the proposed Joint Planning COJ:lUllission "and.,that cO,;ies of the minutes be sent
to the ~. Joseph City Council, the $to Joseph .l.ownship Board of ~pervisors and
the St. Joseph OityPlanningCommiesion."
The. Secretary read a letter from Oity Attorney John Knapp enclosing an old zoning
may of t:e City of St. Joseph showing newly annexed -property and asking that, if
Eoseible, the City Planning Commiseion discuss it with the Township Planning
.ommission and make a recommendation to the St. Joseph Oity Oouncil and the $.
~oseph Township Board for proposed orderly annexation of some of the areas on
the north side~aswell as on the east side of the Oity of~. Joseph.
The Secretar~ summarized a brochure from the Center for the ~udy of Local Govern-
ment, St. John's University, regarding a Workshop to be held in ~. Cllud,Minnesota
on May 1;,14, 15-1974 with tuition of $55.00 fer those not requiring over night
accomod atio~ s.
Mr. Gapko moved that onemember of the Planning Oonunission be sent to the Work-
shop. Seconded and carri~.
Following some discussion, Mr. Reber agreed to ask the Oouncil to send copies of the
minutes of the St.. Joseph City Council meetings to the secretary of the st. Joseph
Planning Commission
~ere was general discussion b¡¡members of the st. Joseph'L'onehip Planning-
~ommission of the urgency of having some determination made of the zoning for
he Hoffman, ,Roske, ~$rer and Wasner roperties east of the C1 y of st. Joseph.
Alfred Hoff~an urged the zêning of his property as commercial.
Mr. Klein moved adjournment. seconded and çerried.
