ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT AND APPEALS
July 1, 1974
The Zoning Board of Adjustment and Appeals met to conduct three public hearings
on Monday, July 1, 1974 with the following members present: Chairman Ben Kremer;
Secretary Robert G. Johnson; Members Ron Klein, Mrs. R.W. Kelly, Rudy Gapko,
Greg Felt.
Residents: James Landwehr, Hub Klein, Pete Johnson, Ed Kacures, Hugo Weyrens.
Hearing ( 1 ) - 7:30 p.m.: To rezone from R-1 Agriculture to R-2 Residential.
Use of Lot 12 presented. Hub Klein indicated and stated he would dèdicate
Lot 12 to be used as park and playground. No objections were voiced to the
rezoning application.
Motion was made by Rudy Gapko seconded by Mrs. R. W. Kelly to recommend to City
Council that Hollow Park Addn. be rezoned R-2 Residential.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion made by Ron Klein seconded by Rudy Gapko to adjourn hearing at 7:58 p.m.
Motion carried.
Hearing (2) : Variance request to construct a 12-unit multiple dwelling on
Outlot "A" Hollow Park Addn. (All information and data attached.) Parking
question examined.
Motion made by Greg Felt seconded by Rudy Gapko to recommend approval of
variance application to City Council.
Motion carried Unanimously.
Motion to adjourn hearing by Ron Klein seconded by Greg Felt at 8:05 p.m.
Motion carried.
Hearing (3) : Rezoning Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and part of 10 - Schneider
Addn. annexed to City and to be used as trailer court addition. To rezone from
R-1 Agricultural to I-Industrial. Request presented by Bill Jones, owner. One
lot reported by Jones, to be preserved for future shelter.
Motion was made by Rudy Gapko seconded by Ron Klein to recommend approval of
re-zoning application above to the City Council.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion made by Rudy Gapko seconded by Ron Klein to recommend to City Council one
lot be reserved for a storm shelter to be constructed within two years.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion made to adjourn by Ron Klein seconded by Greg Felt at 9:00 p.m.
Motion carried.
