Township - Nick Froehle, Erv Studer, Glenn Deutz, Al Theisen, Al Torborg. I Council Representative - Hugo Weyrens. Meeting called to order at 8:30 p.m. by Chairman Al Torborg. Minutes of March 10, 1975 approved as read. The minutes of April 4, 1975 - Special Township Meeting - were also read with a correction added; "to study the advisability of putting all business under one classification and not B-1 and B-2 as it is at present". Al Torborg asked that we consider ways to improve our present zoning in the township. The following items were brought up and voted on: 1) Motion by Al Theisen seconded by Erv Studer that all B-1 and B-2 property in the township simply be called Business with the broader allowances applying to all business property. Motion carried unanimously. 2) Motion by Glenn Deutz seconded by Ben Kremer to leave the present classifi- cation of industrial properties under 1-1 and 1-2 as in the manual. Motion carried unanimously. 3) Motion by Glenn Deutz seconded by Al Theisen to change section 1003-120 of the zoning Procedure to read: "Prior to the approval of the final plot rezoning to any classification shall require a formal petition to be sub- mitted by the owner in accordance with the provisions of the zoning ordin- ances". Motion carried unanimously. 4) Motion by Al Theisen seconded by Glenn Deutz that lot sizes of 15,000 square feet be maintained in the following areas only: West half of Section I 11; all of Section 10; east half of section 9; north east quarter of Section 16; north half of Section 15; north west quarter of section 14, and that an orderly annexation of this property to the City of st. Joseph be studied jointly by the City and Township as early as possible. Motion carried unan- imously. 5) Moved by Glenn Deutz seconded by Ben Kremer that all land in the township outside the 15,000 square feet area as designated above be at least five acres for the purposes of establishing a residence. Motion carried unani- mously. Previously plotted land not affected. 6) Moved by Erv Studer seconded by Al Theisen that the building code of the Township be reviewed with respect to the state building code. Motion carried unanimously. Motion to adjourn at 10:55 without opposition. Glenn Deutz Secretary I
