ST. JOSEPH JOINT PLANNING MEETING
May 12, 1975
Present: City - Mrs. Margaret Kelly, William Bruemmer, Paul Brinkman, Ron Klein,
Ben Kremer.
Tow1ship - Al Torborg, Nick Froehle, Erv Studer, Glenn Deutz.
st. Benedict Representative - Mike Ryan.
Meeting called to order at 8:15 p.m. by Chairman Al Torborg. Minutes of April 14,
1975 approved as read.
Gilbert Hentges, Richmond, Minnesota, appeared at the meeting requesting inform-
ation as to where he could build two twelve (12) unit apartments. He felt he
might need 1~ to 1~ acres. He needs City sewer and water. Mr. Hentges was told
to contact Mr. Robert Johnson to see what if any land would be available in the
City limits at the present time. He stated he would like to stay on the south
side of the tracks. Mr. Cletus Bechtold's property lying inside the City limits
was suggested as a possible building site to Mr. Hentges, though sewer and water
is not presently available there and the present zoning would have to be changed.
A general discussion was held on annexation of properties to the City. It was
felt that the City definitly needed some area to expand, but that you would never
find unanimous agreement in anyone area among the present homeowners. Meeting
on May 19, 1975 between the City and Township officers will discuss this problem.
Meeting to adjourn at 9:30 by Glenn Deutz seconded by Ben Kremer. Motion carried.
