ST. JOSEPH PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
May 4, 1979
The regular meeting of the st. Joseph, Minnesota Planning Commission was held
at the City Hall on Monday, May 4, 1976. The meeting was called to order at
7:35 p.m. Present at the meeting were Chairman Ben Kremer, Commissioners Mrs.
Robert Kelly, Mrs. Marlene Schroeder, Ron Klein, and Paul Brinkman; City Council
Representative Hugo Weyrens; st. Benedict's Representative Mike Ryan.
Minutes of the April 5, 1976 meeting were approved as read.
Mr. Kremer announced that Mrs. Marlene Schroeder has been appointed to the Plan-
ning Commission by the City Council. Her term will expire on January 1, 1978.
Mr. Maynard Klever, representing Milner W. Carley, presented detailed plans for
two upcoming City projects. The first concerned a new crossing of the railroad
tracks to connect College Avenue with County Road 2. Mrs. Kelly moved that the
project be approved by the Planning Commission. The motion was seconded and it
passed unanimously. The second project involved a request to the City Council
by Harold Rothfork to extend the sanitary sewer line across John Eich's property
to the boundary of Mr. Rothfork's triangle of land which lies between Highway 52
and the railroad tracks. Mr. Klein moved that the sewer extension be approved
by the Planning Commission. The motion was seconded and it passed unanimously.
Mr. Klein nominated Mrs. Kelly for the office of Vice Chairman of the Planning
Commission. The nomination was seconded and Mrs. Kelly was elected unanimously.
Meeting adjourned at 8:47 p.m.
