ST. JOSEPH PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
November 1, 1976
The regular meeting of the st. Joseph, Minnesota Planning Commission was held
at the City Hall on Monday, November 1, 1976. The meeting was called to order
at 7:40 p.m. Present at the meeting were Commissioners Ben Kremer (Chairman) ,
Bill Bruemmer, Ron Klein, Mrs. Robert Kelly, and Paul Brinkman; City Council
Representative Hugo Weyrens.
The minutes of the October 4, 1976 meeting were approved as read.
Mr. Weyrens reported that the City Council has been working on the ordinances
dealing with winter parking and with semi-trailors parking in the City, but final
formulations of these new ordinances haven't yet been reached.
Mr. James Landwehr and Dr. Jerry Wetterling, chiropracter, appeared before the
Commission. They layed out a proposal which included the following: vacating
a dedicated road (an extension of 2nd Avenue North East in the northerly direc-
tion) , replatting the lots owned by Ray Krebsbach directly east of the dedicated
road, drilling a private well on those lots rather than extending the city water
system, and constructing a combination office-residence to be used by Dr. Wetter-
ling on those lots after purchase from Mr. Krebsbach. After some discussion,
which included an overall favorable reaction by the Commissioners, it was sug-
gested to Dr. Wetter~ing that he take the issues of the road, the well, and the
replatting, to the City Council. If the Council responds affirmatively, Dr.
Wetterling will then ask for a public hearing, so that a determination can be
made regarding the Special Use Permit required for his proposed office-residence.
Meeting adjourned at 9:45 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Paul Brinkman
Secretary
