I Present: Chairman Ben Kremer, Ron Klein, Paul Brinkman, Marlene Schroeder, City Council Representative Mike Husen. Minutes read and correction made then approved. 1) Sal Schneider Sr., present, on complaint of violation of ordinance by Simon Brothers in that they park their equipment on street and in front of other's property. Bill Simon also present - said they had sent letter to City and had not heard from City. He was informed of regulation and procedure of applying for special use permit. There is also a $25.00 fee. They were informed that the soonest a hearing could be held would be July 11, 1977 . They were also told that all others in violation in City would receive letter. Letter to be sent to others in next week or so. 2) Al Johnson, representing William's Funeral Home, appeared before the Comm- ission inquiring about the purchase the VFW building in regard to reconstruc- tion or remodeling of said building, the question being definition of recon- struction and remodeling as regard to Ordinance section VII, Subdi v. 4, Paragraph 1, A & B. Building in question being 45' X 50' lot size 66' X 66' on corner lot. Much discussion on these terms and also on question of parking. According to ordinance they need 15 parking spaces. Seeing there already is a building there, if purchased, would they have to provide space. If in redoing building it were considered reconstruction then they would, I but if it were remodeling then not. Much discussion took place on terms of remodeling and reconstruction and on parking. Suggestion arose that approach be made to bank to use some of their parking. After more discussion the Planning Commission understands that the proposed change of the VFW would be remodeling, therefore would not fall into the category Section VII, Subdiv. 4, Para. 1. 3) Mike Husen said that we were looking at the number five in family members unrelated in household unit. 4) More discussion on use of residential property in regard to business on said property. Meeting adjourn~d at 9:45 p.m. Respectfully submitted, William Bruemmer, Secretary I
