I Meeting of st. Joseph Planning Commission Oct. 2, 1978
Members Present: Ben Kremer, Chair~~n; Mrs. Marlene Klett,
Mrs. Margaret Kelly, Mr. Hub Klein,
Mr. Jim Wensel, City Council Rep. Mike Husen,
College of st. Benedict Reprasentative
Sister Emmanual Renner.
Meeting called to order at 7;45 P.M.
The minutes of the Sept. 11 meeting were read and approved.
The Rental Dwelling Registration Ordinance was read to the
Planning Commission and then discussed.
Ittem #3 (Enforcement) was changed to read,
"All persons authorized herein to inspect shall have the
authority to enter, with or without a search warrant, at a
mutually acceptable time,any rental property which has a
license pursuant to the provisions of this ordinance."
The term "family" was dismissed without a set definition accepted.
The Rules and Regulations of the Housing Advisory and Appeals
I Board Outline was read and discussed.
With the discussion that followed, an addition was made to
Item #1 (Definitions)- Board to have five members appointed
by City Council.
vItem #4 (Officers)- The addition of the position of a secretary
was made.
Item # 13 (Evidence) was changed to read;
"All competent evidence shalLbe considered by the board in
support of, or in opposition to, any matter before the board.
No evidence shall be considered by the board which is not
presented to the board at a public hearing. Any evidence
acquired by the board through its own investigation shall be
considered, but the parties concerned shall be informed of such
evidence and given an opportunity to rebut same~!
