Klein, Mr. Virgil Lodermeier Guest present: Mr. Art Reber, Mr. Hugo Wyrens Mayor, Mr. M. Husen Hearing called to order at 7;40 Reason for public hearing was to discuss the Ordinance Providing for the licensing and inspection of Rental Dwelling Units within the Cîty of St. Joseph and Providing Penalties for the Violations thereof. Mike Husen suggested that the ordinance should be changed by resolution and not by amendement. Art Reber asked if the ordinance would pertain to mobile homes also. The ordinance was writtin to cover-all rental units, ac.,. cording to the explaination from Gary Muntifering the city building inspector. Virgil Lodermeier madd the motion that the St. Joseph City Council adoptes this ordinapce as amended. Amendments are as follows, under C) Multiple Dwelling: As used in this Ordinance,... hospitals. licensed nursing homes and dormtories located on the campus of St. Bendeicts C~llege. The Same addtion is to be added under section J). Registration fees under section 7 shall be increased from 10.00 and 2.00 to 15.00 and 5.00 plus the ddd ition of the fees 15.00 for 1-5 sleeping rooms 30.00 for 6-10 sleeping rooms and 45.00 for 11 and more sleeping rooms All members voted infavor of the ordinance. Meeting called to order at 8:45 Guest: John N:H.lèir:;and Wynn Summer from A PO. ,Web Daniels from Daniels funneral Home Web Daniels requested information on the possibilities of remodeling the exterior of his funeral home. It was suguested that he brings in working prints of what he would like to do tò the building and lot to the next planning meeting, John Miller explainded the four step planning process, step 1 is the inventory, step 2 goals for the future, step 3 determine the plan and step 4 figuring out what is nedded to reach your goals The parking problem downtown and the question of need for future commerical land were two more items added to the inventory list for the compenhensive plan. Aspecial meeting of the planning commission was set for Decemb&r 12, 1978 to further discuss the comprehensive plan. Meeting adjourned 10:00 ?PJ Q~~ ~ Wensel Secretary
