Wynn Hjermstad Meeting was called to order at 7:35 p.m. Clarification of some statements in the text of the Comprehensive Plan was made by Wynn and Mike. Consideration was given to mentioning as a goal or objective the encouragement of new structures with renewable energy systems, e.g. solar hot water or heating systems. Wynn showed a map of St. Joseph with land areas colored according to use or potential use. Agreement was reached on designating the Rothford land north of CSAH 75 as PUD (planned unit development). Some discussion ensued on the water/sewage facilities and the planning requi- si teforthe future size of st. Joseph. After di~cussing land use for the area south of Kennedy School, the commission agreed t~lä;;ification .'t· as PUD and the area southeast of Cloverdale addi tion as (planne~lIresidential development). The location of a multiple-dwelling residence for the elderly was considered. Location south of Kennedy Schooh.wi thin the PUD area or on parish-owned land ~orf~west' of Kennedy School was recommended by the commission. The small section between CSAH 75 and Minnesota St. east of 7th Ave. was considered for various land use options. A zoning designation as R-2 was favored by the commission.
