Regular Heeting of the st. Joseph, Planning Commission.
Members Present. Ben Kremer, Hub Klein, Jim Wensel, Virgil Lodermeier

James Landwehr presented a plot map of the Bechtold farm, next tö
Park Terrace. The map showed 47 single fami~y dwelling lots of
10,000 sq. ft. each. The main discussion was cDncerning the main thru
street between Co. Rd. 75 and West Minnesota street. Landwehr has
set aside land for park space, according to subdivision ordinances.
Discussion followed on what the city needed more, the land or money.
Money instead of land wea considered because of the lack of finished
parks in the C.ity. Landwehr was asked to complete an engineering
study for sewer and water.
The second item of the eveing was the comprehensive plan. Goals for
-- the City were discussed and listed. The list of items follows,
light commercial, light industry, multiple dwellings, shopping areal's.;
- good parking, restore and preserve older buildings, metro bus service,
revision of sub-division ordinance, define the intergrity of the neigh
bor hoods, traffic patterns, mini impact statements ie, enviromental-
economical, signs, billboards, fences, parks, sewer and wa ter, archives
of the older citzens. These goals are to be discussed and refinded
at future meeting.
Jan. 8th minutes were read and corrected, addtò the thirdparagraph.
