Kelly, Jim Wensel, Sister Emmanual Hike Husen, Visitors: Don Landwehr, Linda Viehauser, Gail Kremers, Wynn Summer. Don Landwehr of Landmark Realty presented the preliminary subdivision plat for the Mill Stream Addition. Landmark has set aside the re- quired amont of land for ?park instead of a cash payment. I·1ike Husen stated that the St. Joseph Rec. Board unofficially stated they would Ijke landmark to donate land . Ben.Kremer made the motion that the st. Joseph City Council excepts the preliminary plat for Mill stream Addition as approved by the st. Joseph Planning Commission. Seconded by Mrs. M. Kelly, all voted infavor. Gail Kremers and Linda Viehauser presented a drawing of the N. E. t of the S. E. t of Sec. 10 Township 124 Range 29. Gail Kremers is the owner ~nd would like to divide the parcel into three lots. The lots would be 71ft.- 81ft.- 71ft- in appr~imate front footage. All lots will meet the minimum Of 10,000 sq. ft. requirment. They we told that if all requirments were met ther won't be any problems in dividing the parcel they own. Dicussion on the Comprehensive Plan followe~. The main idea àic- cussed was if st. Joseph should have industr~or commercial developments. Wyn~.explained that industry would bring people to st. Joseph looking for employment instead of a good place to live. She also stated that the competition for industry would be tough because of st. Cloud, Sauk Rapids,and Sartell all have industrial parks. The general discussion led to favor commercial because there would be more part time jobs for the local people and less need to drive to st. Cloud for shopping., Also listed as goals for St. Joseph: 1). to provide the best possible living environment 2). Keep small tovm atmosphere 3). To direct growth in a compatible manner 4). Senior Citi~ens housing in a central location 5). Strictor enforcement of existiong zonning ordinances 6). Proper traffic patterns- no busy streets running thru neighbor hoods.
