st. Joseph Planning Commission Meeting May 7, 1979
Called to order at 8:10
Members Present: Chairman Ben Kremer, Jim Wensel, Hub Klein
Virgil Lodermeier, Mike Husen Council Rep.
Vistòrs: Wynn Summer, A P 0, Tom Brennan st. ~oseph.
Tom Bre~nan asked if he could remodel his home so that he could have
a small dispaly room for his Lock business. He was told that a special
uses permit could not be used in his situation. There for rezoning
would be the propert way for him to work. Tom Brennan was asked to
check with his neighbors to see if they would want their zoning changed
to commerical. It was also mentioned to his that on May..24, 1979
there will be a public hearing ~n a moratorGum on all rezoning.
Hike husen read a letter form the City Attorney dated May 4th, 1979.
Reference to Interim Zoning and Subdivision Requlation Ordinance. Mike
also read the ordinance that was written by the City Attorney. Discuss-
ion followed stating that it would be wrong to keep anyone form
. developing his own property.
An opinion for the City Attor:e.ey was read by Mike Husen explaigg.!_:the
ordinance pertaing to the Le Roy Rebischke property. ( Letter
attached to orginal minutes)
The third letter read and discussed was pretaining to the Nicholas
Froehle Property. The letter ststed that he may use his commercial
property for single family dwelling i£ he wishes.
Ben Kremer asked for a minute of silence ~ the memory of the late
Mrs. Robert Kelly.
Wynn Summer discussed the Compo Plan with the Planning Commission.
Most of the discussing was on the need for more commercial development
areas. .
Special meeting to discuss only the Comprehensive plan was set for
M..ay 21. 1979.
