I Minutes of St. Joseph Planning Commission
Mar. 3, 1980
Members present: Ben Kremer, Hub Klein, Phil Durkee
Visitors: Tom Javanovich, Roman Reber, Jerry Cyphers, Mike Husen, John Forsythe
The commission and some of the visitors gave Tom feedback on the Zoning Ordinance
draft, (section 1-10). Tom: will make emendations in the draft and present
a revised copy after all the ordinances have been reviewed.
Tom handed out drafts on Zoning District Boundaries, Nonconforming Uses, General
Requirements, and asked for a perusal of these documents before the next meeting.
He highlighted some of the sections. Tom also provided a compendium of information
on lot sizes for cities around St. Joseph.
John Forsythe presented the results of his and Mike Bauer's attempts to locate a
I lot do~mtown for a new restaurant with sufficient parking space. The attempts
were not successful or economical. John will plan to apply for a parking variance
f~r the original lot next to Klein's Shoe Store.
Next meeting will be held on March 17.
