Minutes of St. Joseph Planning Commission - January 5, 1981

Visitors: Bill Hanson, Mike Husen, Jim Landwehr, Joe Bettendorf, Tom Javonovich
Meeting was called to order at 7:35p.m.
Bill Hanson up-dated the Commission on traffic circulation studies around
St. Joseph, land use and zoning in the surrounding area, comprehensive trans-
portation plans, and possible future traffic corridors around St. Joseph.
Rspecially pertinent was a recommended minor arterial where S.E. 11th Ave.
would be located. If the city wants to protect the future land use for traffic
corridors, an official map would be needed.
Jim Landwehr asked for information concerning the new zoning requirements on
Cloverdale Estates, II Addition, Block 4, Lots 5,6,7.
Tom and Joe presented the revised draft of the new .oning Ordinance. The
section concerning advertising signs and billboards was examined and a
decision was made to disallow all such signs within the city.
Phil Durkee moved to recommend to the City Counail the adoption of the new
Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Regulations. Art Budde seconded it. The
motion passed unanimously.
Meeting was adjourned at 9:50p.m.
