Kathleen Kalinowski, Phillip Durkee, Hub Klein Visitors: Mike Husen, Joe Bettendorf, Bill Meierhofer Meeting was called to order at 7:35 p.m. The minutes from March 2, March 15, and April 6 were approved. Bill Meierhofer requested a variance for building a house and attached garage on the property at 219 Able St., the Gunner Johnson lot. Since the lot is narrow, a 5 foot sideyard set-back rather than the usual 10- foot would be needed. After clarifying that the alley behind the lot may not be open or dedicated, the variance request was withdraJ~. Attention was turned to the PURD specifications. The issue of limiting multiple dwellings to 20% of the PURD plots vs. 35% WQS discussed. The following information was calculated for 20 acre plots under the drafted maximum density specifications with land for streets and parks subtracted. I1ultiple-dwelling Sing-Ie-dwelling- 35% multiple 5.1 acres 9.5 acres 14 units/acre 4 units/acre 71 units total 38 units total Average net density = 7.1 units/acre for 14.6 acres net 20% multiple 2.9 acres 11. 7 acres 14 units/acre 4 units/acre 41 units total 47 units total Average net density = 6.1 units/acre These net densities were compared to Cloverdale Estates (2nd Add.)-- 8.0 units/acre, and to Hollow Fark--5.6 units/acre. Attention was drawn to the fact that areas other than PURD acres will be zoned for multiple-dwelling housing. Meeting was adjourned at 10:00 p.m. Respectfully submitted, ¡OM u~k Phil Durkee
