Meeting was called to order at 7:35 p.m.
The Minutes of the July 11 meeting \"lere read and apl:œoved by rllotion
and vote.
A broad discussion of rental housing ensued. The nroblcms of identi-
fying new and old landlords who will be renting units this Fall while
not having filed a registration statement and what course of action
should now be taken against those in non-compliance were discussed.
The mobile home park viaS specifically mentioned and also the neglect
of the owners to construct a storm shelter for the park. One
suggestion offered was to withhold rental registration approval until
a storm shelter vms constructed. The urgency of initiating action
in August before students arrived for those in "on-compliance of
licensing requirements was underlined.
'dith regards to the building expansion of the La Playette, a motion
was make by Art Budde to recommend to the City Council the approval of
the conditional use of expansion ~lthout the installation of off-street
parking stalls because of the availability of other parking spaces
in the central business district. This motion 'lias made in accordance
with section 13.04 of the Zoning Ordinance. The motion was seconded
and passed unanimously.
Meeting was adjourned at 9:10 p.m.
