Minutes of st. Joseph Planning Cærrmission
November 6, 1984

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m.
Mark Zimmer submitted a preliminary site plan for an expansion of La Playette.
The addition of a lounge and kitchen area equals 2520 square feet. A small
parking area is planned. S. Kathleen moved that the Commission recommend
approva.l of the expansion with a minimum of 15 parking spaces. '11he parking
is asphalt and will be stripped. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously.
Nelda Lampher and Gerry Davis inquired about a variancé' for constructing a large
accessory building on their property on 2nd Ave. S.E. between r1innesota Ave.
and Able st. (formerly Jost property). '1'he proposed ne'.. accessory building wi th
tIle present garage would exceed the maximum allowed area for accessory buildings,
viz, 800 sqaure feet. No valid grounds for granting a variance could be
determined by the Commission.
Mike Husen announced to the Commission that no lon~ænge traffic flow plan for
-the area surrounding St. Joseph had yet been approved by the 'fo"mship. He
recommended that the Planning Commission study the long-range plan for Co. 75
and make recommendations to the Council concerning ingresses to eo. 75 within
the City limits and nearby area.
Meeting was adjourned at 9:05 p.m.
