Joseph Planning Commission August 5, 1985 Members Present: Sr. Kathleen Kalinowski, Ben Kremer, Tom Nahan. others Present: Ross Rieke (Council liaison), Jeff Lang (security Federal Savings & Loan), Bill Zenner (Dave's Realty), Dave Daniels (Daniels Funeral Home) , Pete Rothfork (Rocky's Classic Cars), Roman Reber (Building Inspector). Meeting called to order at 7:45 p.m. Jeff Lang appeared and stated that the Belford property was listed as a duplex in January, 1984, when they approved a loan on it. They presently have the property back and want to know if it can be sold as a single or multiple family dwelling. Ross Rieke told him the City Council discussed this matter at the last council meeting and they are sending him a letter as to their plans. In the mean time they cannot rent to more than five renters. Dave Daniels appeared requesting permission to sub-divide the property the present funeral home is on. It would be divided into two lots measuring 60' wide by 206' deep each. A motion was made by Sr. Kathleen, seconded by Tom Nahan, that the subdivision be approved. Motion carried. Pete Rothfork requested permission to attach a garage to his present office building and replacement and relocation of his business sign. The garage would be used for cleaning up cars, and the new sign will be 4' x 8' atop a 12' post located next to the driveway. Motion made by Sr. Kathleen to approve request to build a garage onto present office building and erection of new sign on their property. Motion seconded by Ben Kremer. Motion was carried.
