Minutes of the st. Joseph I
Planning Commission
JW1e 4, 1990
MEMBERS PRESENT: Hub Klein, Bob Loso, Art Budde, Sister Kathleen, and Don
Nierengarten.
OTHERS PRESENT: Judy Weyrens, Rachael Stapleton, Dale Victor, Ross Rieke,
Council Laision, and Dale Lambert.
Dale Victor, of Sunset Manufacturing, appeared and inquired into future zoning
of the area he is presently utilizing to run his business at 417 Northeast First
Avenue. Presently is zoned light industrial. He may want to expand his business.
He was advised that the Commission forsees no apparent problem with his plans to
expand his business in the adjoining area.
SUB COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Recommended Ordinance Changes:
A motion was made by Bob Loso and seconded by Dan Nierengarten to have
the City Attorney examine the legality of changing the present ordinance I
allowing. 5 unrelated persons per W1it to 3 persons and also consider
establishing a separate R-3 zoning for student housing. Motion carried.
Other Sub COømittee recommendations were tabled until the next meeting.
Motion made by Art Budde to approve minutes of May 7th and seconded by Dan
N1erengarten.
Agenda for the next meeting is to review the zonin& of area North of County Road
75 and East of College Avenue.
Meeting adjourned at 9:30 p.lII.
